Song of Songs 2 v 4 “let his banner over me be love.”

Dedicated to my beautiful friend April who sent me a devotion one evening about God being our banner because he is love. The next morning, I awakened with this song on my heart which has proven to have deep significance for me as God truly has been and is my banner, my covering of love through my life.

The banner over her of love, signifies her motivation of love in her life, is that – in that all she does, she does in love for Christ. She operates under His banner of love. Like the banner held high in battles of old – the warriors did what they did in honour of that banner over them. My motive in life is the same – to do all because of my love for Him whose banner is over me – whose banner I am under – is love.
