MY HIDING PLACE
Song Message
Jesus endured the absolute worst of things for us by dying on the cross. He experienced agony, physical, emotional, spiritual etc. beyond what we could ever truly comprehend or imagine, all because He loves us that much. When we receive Jesus into our lives, this means our precious Saviour is there for us 24/7, and He truly understands the things we go through. He is there, waiting and wanting to help us and to be with us through everything. When life challenges us, with Jesus, we have the most special place where we can rest despite what may be happening and what we may be feeling. My safe place, my hiding place is with the Lord. God promises to “never leave us nor forsake us”(Deuteronomy 31v6) and to help us through the most difficult of times. When we choose to look to Jesus, to earnestly seek His face and to trust Him, we find our security and we find hope, peace and joy and have victory over every circumstance because of Him.
Psalm 27 v 6-8 (NIV) “I will sing and make music to the Lord. Hear my voice when I call, Lord; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face Lord, I will seek.”
Psalm 46 v 1 (NLF) “God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble.”
Psalm 119 v 114 (ESV) “You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.”
Psalm 32 v 7 (NIV) “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”
Lyrics
I find rest despite my brokenness
I find peace when I’m on my knees
You are my safe place where I receive grace
I find my hiding place
When I seek my Saviour’s face
When I run to you you’re there with open arms
Every tear I cry
You wipe each one away
I find my hiding place
When I seek my Saviour’s face
Jesus my miracle is you
You’re the answer to my prayers
You are my hiding place
(REPEAT)
Jesus my miracle is you
You’re the answer to my prayers
You are my hiding place
You are my hiding place
You are my hiding place
